Walt Disney’s The Sword In The Stone was released on December 25th 1963.
This Disney adaptation of the classic fable chronicles of King Arthur’s humble beginings. As an Orphand child, Arthur who was then known as Wart wants to help his foster brother Kay succeed in becoming a knight. While helping Kay train Wart stumbles upon a cabin belonging to Merlin a bumbling but talented wizard. Merlin does his best to convince the boy that he is bound for greatness, and when Wart and kay travel to Londen to attend a jousting contest, they learn that Merlin was right.
Wart, Merlin, the girl squriell, the knights are the good guys and Mad Madam Mim is the bad guy
I love the songs, characters, the magic, fantasy feel and the animation.
I would absolutely highly recommend this classic Walt Disney Movie for those who love magic, kings, knights and famous fables.
